Drew was appointed as Pastor of West Bend United Methodist Church in June of 2009. A native of Winston-Salem, NC, he graduated from High Point University in 2005 with degrees in history and religion. While attending Duke Divinity School, he worked in United Methodist congregations in Stokes, Clay, and Guilford Counties. Drew was commissioned as a Provisional Elder at Lake Junaluska in 2010 and is currently working towards ordination as an Elder in the Western North Carolina Conference. Drew and his wife Brittany, a medical student, were recently married and are enjoying their new life together with their boxer, Jolene, and cat, Sammy. Debra has been the Administrative Assistant at West Bend since 1996. She came to us with experience in banking, and fulfills a wide variety of church responsibilities. She prepares and edits all publications, maintains all files, and manages the financial records. Debra graduated with an AAS Degree in Business Administration from Randolph Community College. She is married to Sam Rogers and they have a daughter, Kayla. One of the most pleasant persons you will ever meet, Debra says that she enjoys being with her family, home schooling Kayla, shopping, cooking, walking and beach trips. |

April is a lifelong resident of Asheboro. She is a graduate of
Asheboro High School and Asheboro Business College. She has worked at
CommunityOne Bank (formally First National Bank) since April, 1972 in
the Human Resources Department. A member of West Bend Methodist Church since birth, she has been involved in the music department for many years and has played the piano, organ and is currently in the HandBell Choir which was started in 1993. April and her husband Mike live in Asheboro and have two children, Travis and Tracey. Along with her job and her involvement in the church, she likes spending time with her family, especially grandson Carter Brown and friends. She also enjoys reading, walking and relaxing! |

Bev Lawrence has been directing the handbells at
She has been married to Terry Lawrence since 1986.
They are both musically active in the community
(Terry plays trumpet in the Randolph Jazz Band and plays
guitar; Bev sings with The Grace Notes quartet and plays
piano), and they love going to the movies, reading,
traveling, and sharing meals with friends. |
